Hi,
Dummy question from me......
I'm connecting my 2J1 to an Emerald k3 ECU, with the intention of using wideband (unsurprisingly!) and closed loop. Question is,what wires from the WB controller I/O cable go to what pins on the ECU?
Is this basically the same as the Innovate wiring detailed in the emerald instructions?
all help is appreciated.
thanks

Hi Nick.
Look at this Image:
So the installation is similair to LC1. Hook up the blue wire to the "Lambda/WBO input" of your Emerald ECU. "Green" is what is called "Signal ground" at LC1. It has to be connected to "Sensor ground" at your ECU.
But remember that the 2J1 has other voltage output curve than LC1. Either you tweak it in your ECU's settings or you modify the wblin-output at your 2J1 with wbutil.exe.

Thanks Thomas,
Wired in and it seems to work
I need to account for the different voltage to the LC1. Booked for the rolling Rd 23rd April
cheers

Do i take it that the graph to illustrate the voltage / AFR settings in the techedge manual are those set in the controller? therfore , i have to set these up in the lambda input / AFR in the emerald software ?

Hi Nick.
The main point is that you have to program identical voltage curves in the WBO unit and in the Emerald as well.
Here is an example how it is set up with an LC1:
(Source: http://www.biggles.net)
...and the correlating settings in the WBUTIL:
This are the LC1 default settings. They are very common. But you can set it up however you want to. Just make it similair in WBO and emerald as well.

What I was missing was any reference to the config utility.
Trigger wheels did not send the utility instructions or utility s/w with the controller / sensor.
Bluddy annoying.
... anyway I have now downloaded it and will re-calibrate.
thanks again for your help Thomas. It was your illustration that prompted me to look on the WWW. |
